 (ABC) As most residents of Tamarindo probably know by now, the long anticipated paving of the main road has finally concluded.The asphalting company that won the contract for this task is known as Asfaltos Alajuela. They commenced work on the road in early January lasting almost 5 months in the process due to the tedious work of appropriate drainage for the heavy rains. Many residents criticized the amount of time it took to complete the 400 meter stretch of road. However, the measures taken by the asphalting company will prevent major flooding from quickly deteriorating the asphalt thus giving the main road a longer lifespan of smooth driving. This project was conceived by the community after noticing that nothing at all was being done by the government to fix the road. A mere six months ago driving down the main street of Tamarindo was like entering an off-road course where your car’s suspension would be put to the test.  Tamarindo Costa Rica Main Road partly done Having this first challenge off the board will allow the community to concentrate efforts on other important issues left on the backburner. Little by little Tamarindo’s amenities will keep on growing becoming that pleasant beach haven we all know it is. Comments (0)
