Prayer For Peace

O Lord Jesus Christ, Who said to Your Apostles: "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you," regard not my sins but the faith of Your Church, and deign to give her peace and unity according to Your Will: Who live and reign, God, world without end. Amen.

1. Worship

Holy Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 6:00 P. M. by Father Guillermo Melgares, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in 27 de Abril of the Dioceses of Tilarán. (Starting June 8th 2008)

2. Mission and Vision

To offer the community of Tamarindo, and its visitors, a Temple to worship God and receive the Holy Sacraments.

To have a priest on the site.

To build a hall for activities such as youth groups,choruses, and Catechism.

To bring missionaries to help people in our community

To reunite Tamarindo's community in order to make aCharity Society.

To help the elderly, orphans and the less fortunate.

3. Background

For many years the neighbors of Tamarindo and its visitors wished to have a temple, particularly Doña Enriqueta López, one of the first residents of Tamarindo.

Thanks to the generosity of many, the community's dream came true.

Mr. Frank Barnyard of the United States wished to build a memorial to his deceased wife, Mary. He became the driving force behind theproject.

He, along with Mr. Frank Galluzzo, also of the United States, donated the entire cost of construction of the Church.
Doña Enriqueta donated half the land.


The other half of the land,however, has a mortgage of US $ 39,500 owed to Coralia Villafuerte which the church community is obligated to pay.
