I'm moving to Tamarindo for at least 6 months as a test run in December. I have been recommeded to stay in Balcones del Pacifico condos. Does anyone have any good or bad things to say about Balcones del Pacifico? I know the area has been going through a lot of construction?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Its not a Hotel, B&B or inn... Its a condo.. and a very new condo at that.. so there is no information about it on Trip advisor.. Its just north of the town center on that little loop road.. Just curious if anyone knows if there is alot of consturction going on near it? or if its really close to the main road?

right !!! lots of construction going on in that area at the moment and Balcones is very low quality project. Looks ok from the outside but.... Go in and walk around with open eyes. Try water, electricity, knock on the walls and floor. Make your reservation subject to approval of functionality of unit. If you have a car !@#?? They have not enough parking (less parking spaces then units. The street turns into a mud disaster within the next 6 months during the rainy season. If you come in December it should be ok. Location is great, close to the center and beach, all within walking distance.
Have fun, and enjoy the time you are spending in Tamarindo.
