My Dear Friends and Neighbors

I would like to ask for some help. Since Simona handed over the care of the Children’s Park after seven years of caretaking, its state has quickly degenerated. After watching the trees and grass die, I decided to do something.

I paid the water bills and got the meter reconnected, and I have a gardener going there for an hour a day to water and clean. However, what we really need is some serious TLC: There are 5 swings missing and the one swing set is ready to break. The ranchito needs to have some wooden seats replaced and we need some more gravel around the skate bowl.

If anyone, especially anyone with children who play there, would care to contribute a swing or a piece of playground equipment or lights or anything to make it a nicer park that would be wonderful. We have so few parks that we really need to take care of them and the image of the town to tourists is greatly improved with nice parks. It seems it is up to us to do it.

Estimados amigos y vecinos,

Necesito pedirles un poco de ayuda. Desde que Simona devolvió el cuido del Parque de los Niños después de siete años de mantenerlo, su estado ha degenerado bastante. Luego de ver que se estaban muriendo los árboles y el césped, decidí hacer algo.

Pagué el agua y reconecté el medidor, y uno de mis jardineros va a limpiar y regar por una hora todos los días. Sin embargo, lo que realmente necesitamos es mucho amor: Faltan cinco hamacas y el único equipo de hamacas está a punto de romper. Es necesario reemplazar uno de los bancos en el ranchito y necesitamos más lastre alrededor de la piscina de skate.

Si alguien, especialmente alguien con niños que juegan ahí, podría colaborar con una hamaca o algún juego o luces o cualquier cosa que podría contribuir a hacerle al parque un lugar más lindo, la contribución sería muy agradecida. Tenemos tan pocos parques que realmente necesitamos cuidarlos bien, y la imagen del pueblo a los turistas se mejora mucho con lindos parques. Es nuestra responsabilidad hacerlo.
